9 months!

The twins turned 9 months old about a week and a half ago (January 22, 2018). They had their 9 month check up with our GP.  Here are their stats:

Ewan
6.94 kg (15 pounds 5 ounces)
70.5 cm height
43.2 cm head circumference

Eileen
7.49kg (16 pounds and 8 ounces)
72.4 cm height
43.2 cm head circumference

Ewan has cut two teeth on the bottom front gums and his top gums are white and swollen, with a speck of tooth showing through.  I don’t think Eileen has broken teeth through her gums yet but she is definitely teething.

Ewan is crawling, his movements are very coordinated. He pivots and goes from crawling to seated position and vise versa.

We spent a weekend in Jaffray BC with our friends.  We went for a snowshoe with the babies.  The babies immediately adapted to their new surroundings and were great on the car ride there and back.

Elieen mostly sits and plays with toys, but since watching her brother crawl she has been spending more time on her tummy flailing her arms and legs – she looks like a beached whale.  Ewan has started taking whatever toy Eileen is playing with even though there are lots of toys to go around.  He will crawl across the room and snatch her toy away.  Unbothered, Eileen just picks up a different toy and starts playing.

We started a baby rhyme time group this month, it’s fun and we are meeting moms and other babies.

Ewan and Eileen are very happy babies, they smile all the time.   They are so much fun to hang out with!

50% of the time they are sleeping through the night.  Everyday they nap in the morning and sometimes in the afternoon.
